Les diff\u00e9rentes p\u00e9riodes historiques ont, selon des approches et des codes diff\u00e9rents, tout autant trait\u00e9 de la beaut\u00e9 et du corps de la femme. La d\u00e9couverte r\u00e9cente d\u2019un lot d\u2019une dizaine de dessins de Robert Braud relance l\u2019actualit\u00e9 de ces descriptions raffin\u00e9es ou sensuelles, si fr\u00e9quentes, des ann\u00e9es 30 aux ann\u00e9es 50, en France et dans tant d\u2019\u00e9tats voisins ou lointains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped Excellent technicien, non d\u00e9pourvu d\u2019humour, il allie la pratique d\u2019un dessin rapide, d\u2019un trac\u00e9 affirm\u00e9 autant qu\u2019il sait \u00eatre un illustrateur f\u00e9cond. Certaines pi\u00e8ces font appel \u00e0 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de culture antique, renaissante, mettant en valeur des nus f\u00e9minins qui exhibent la pr\u00e9sence forte d\u2019un corps imp\u00e9rieux, un corps faisant sombrer dans l\u2019anecdotique les accessoires qui accompagnent la venue de ces beaut\u00e9s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curieux de tout, de l\u2019art qui a forg\u00e9 l\u2019histoire de la diversit\u00e9, des \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui en font la richesse, Robert Braud est sensible \u00e0 ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments, objets familiers, h\u00e9t\u00e9roclites ou myst\u00e9rieux des peintres qui enrichissent la puissance d\u2019une \u0153uvre. Ses diff\u00e9rentes \u0153uvres en sont l\u2019illustration, qu\u2019il peigne un animal familier ou un accessoire qui est cens\u00e9 donner un signe d\u2019appartenance \u00e0 une classe sociale (palmier (ill. 1), parasol (ill. 2), \u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le dix-neuvi\u00e8me si\u00e8cle entre interdits et pornographie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s des jeux de cache-cache qui n\u2019ont cess\u00e9 au fil des si\u00e8cles, c\u2019est aux peintres impressionnistes que revient le m\u00e9rite d\u2019avoir revisit\u00e9 le nu&nbsp;: bords et contours du corps sont jug\u00e9s moins fondamentaux que les couleurs, le geste du pinceau donne alors une force et une vitalit\u00e9 uniques aux corps. C\u2019est ce qui vaut, au sein de cette peinture, des nus entach\u00e9s de scandale, \u00e0 la vue de ces femmes ordinaires, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement dans leur plus simple appareil. Les sc\u00e8nes les plus incroyables permettent aux artistes impressionnistes de s\u2019attaquer au rendu du nu. Parmi ces repr\u00e9sentations, en 1863, avec ses deux tableaux,&nbsp;<em>Olympia<\/em>&nbsp;et&nbsp;<em>D\u00e9jeuner sur l\u2019herbe<\/em>, Edouard Manet se d\u00e9tourne radicalement des normes acad\u00e9miques de l\u2019\u00e9poque pour plonger dans une approche plus moderniste et se voulant le reflet d\u2019une autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9, celle de son \u00e9poque : Olympia, une prostitu\u00e9e, a remplac\u00e9 la d\u00e9esse mythologique ou la nymphe, pr\u00e9sentes si fr\u00e9quemment sur les murs des salons et autres lieux de retrouvailles. De m\u00eame que sous l\u2019Ancien R\u00e9gime, il est fait appel \u00e0 la mythologie gr\u00e9co-latine pour faire accepter des sujets scabreux, au milieu du 20\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, le nu n\u2019est admissible que s\u2019il est situ\u00e9 dans un espace exotique ou mythologique. Le peintre repr\u00e9sente alors une femme nue fortement individualis\u00e9e et provocante. Sa fa\u00e7on directe de fixer le spectateur tout en donnant \u00e0 sa pr\u00e9sence une expression d\u2019indiff\u00e9rence, d\u2019immoralit\u00e9 qui font scandale. Dans les peintures acad\u00e9miques, les figures f\u00e9minines nues sont \u00ab surprises \u00bb, ont le regard fuyant, comme si on les surprenait dans leur intimit\u00e9. Elles ne se montrent pas volontairement nues. Olympia contredit cette id\u00e9e.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019Edgar Degas n\u2019\u00e9chappe pas \u00e0 cette approche. C\u2019est avec le nu, son th\u00e8me de pr\u00e9dilection, qu\u2019il innove le plus. Ce technicien hors pair traduit avec des techniques diff\u00e9rentes ces nus ex\u00e9cut\u00e9s avec le dessin, la peinture \u00e0 l\u2019huile mais surtout le pastel, un mat\u00e9riau appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 pour sa rapidit\u00e9 d\u2019ex\u00e9cution et ses possibilit\u00e9s de reprises, l\u2019artiste peut op\u00e9rer des retours sur l\u2019\u0153uvre sans que le pastel ne s\u00e8che.&nbsp;Toutes les intimit\u00e9s sont possibles, comme il en va dans <em>le Tub<\/em>&nbsp;(1886), l\u2019indiscr\u00e9tion de l\u2019artiste est tol\u00e9r\u00e9e par une perfection technique et une fantaisie tr\u00e8s \u00e9go\u00efste. Centre Pompidou<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La destruction d\u00e9cal\u00e9e du corps<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec Paul C\u00e9zanne (1839-1906), les baigneuses calmes peintes par l\u2019artiste offrent une vision tortur\u00e9e sur les femmes, un corps souvent robuste, un ventre et des seins opulents, des traits parfois masculins. Une repr\u00e9sentation due au d\u00e9calage entre la perfection du dessin mais un manque quant \u00e0 une ex\u00e9cution sans que le mod\u00e8le ait pos\u00e9 nu face \u00e0 l\u2019artiste.
