L\u2019\u00e9preuve n\u2019est pas facile, elle est, cependant juste indispensable pour (re)trouver une libert\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9panouissement d\u2019un art qui m\u00e9rite le temps et ne peut s\u2019en passer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme durant les p\u00e9riodes andines o\u00f9 l\u2019orf\u00e8vrerie a eu son r\u00f4le si imposant, p\u00e9riode durant laquelle l\u2019artisan traduisait avec les m\u00e9taux comme l\u2019or, le bronze, le cuivre, la pierre locale, dure ou noble, les nuances de vie les plus intenses et les moins pr\u00e9sentes, l\u2019omnipr\u00e9sence de l\u2019orf\u00e8vrerie \u00e9tait l\u00e0, rituelle et fautrice de puissance c\u00e9leste, voire divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La culture andine, miroir et inspiration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi la forte diversit\u00e9 que l&rsquo;on remarque dans la culture andine, la culture Chav\u00edn (700-400 av. Elle a appris son m\u00e9tier aupr\u00e8s d\u2019artisans p\u00e9ruviens et plus tard, elle a pass\u00e9 un certain temps en Italie, notamment \u00e0 Florence, pour d\u00e9velopper ses connaissances personnel sans limites dans l\u2019utilisation des techniques et des mat\u00e9riaux. Elle utilise principalement de l\u2019argent, de l\u2019or, du cuivre, du laiton, des pierres p\u00e9ruviennes, du cuir et d\u2019autres mat\u00e9riaux naturels cherchant \u00e0 r\u00e9unir l\u2019organique et l\u2019inorganique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est certain que l\u2019approche de Karen Arbul\u00fa \u00e0 la mati\u00e8re a de quoi surprendre&nbsp;: les m\u00e9taux ainsi privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s sont relativement durs, si peu durs que les artistes graveurs les utilisent comme matrices, en particulier le cuivre dont la mall\u00e9abilit\u00e9 a permis au cours de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019orf\u00e8vrerie et de l\u2019estampe d\u2019assister \u00e0 des prodiges d\u2019invention, les alliages d\u00e9fiant parfois le temps d\u2019un geste maladroit de la collectionneuse qui, malgr\u00e9 elle, risque de d\u00e9t\u00e9riorer la sculpture unique qui est devenue pi\u00e8ce de collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cela ne semble pas jouer sur les fondamentaux de cette cr\u00e9atrice qui, d\u2019embl\u00e9e, pr\u00e9vient du soin avec lequel porter chaque pi\u00e8ce, le soin aussi, qui consiste, avant toute chose \u00e0 \u00eatre en osmose avec le m\u00e9tal, un m\u00e9tal qui, au contact de l\u2019eau, de l\u2019humidit\u00e9 ambiante, va s\u2019oxyder, infliger un changement de coloris, de patine presque, tout comme la bonne conservation de chaque pi\u00e8ce est li\u00e9e \u00e0 sa protection dans une ambiance tout autant s\u00e8che.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les formats des pi\u00e8ces s\u2019inspirent aussi de l\u2019architecture inca. Le collier <em>Sacsahuam\u00e1n<\/em> est une fusion entre histoire et art, forg\u00e9 dans du cuivre oxyd\u00e9 afin de refl\u00e9ter la force et la majest\u00e9 de l&rsquo;architecture de ces blocs monolithiques de calcaire (ill. 9 et 10).
