Il d\u00e9veloppe son travail plastique sous la forme de peintures murales (ill. 1) tout en continuant ses approches graphiques \u00e0 partir de la peinture de chevalet. Ces exp\u00e9rimentations deviennent des assemblages de diff\u00e9rents types, des installations, et enfin, des dessins et des livres d\u2019artistes. Toutes ces recherches permettent de mettre en \u00e9vidence par des liens formels et signifiants, des r\u00e9seaux de correspondances. Ces symboles et ces signes permettent des allers et retours s\u00e9mantiques entre signifiants et signifi\u00e9s. Parall\u00e8lement, le travail de mus\u00e9ographe men\u00e9 au Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Homme, m\u2019a amen\u00e9 comme mon p\u00e8re Juan Manuel \u00e0 effectuer diff\u00e9rentes missions et travaux correspondant \u00e0 plusieurs m\u00e9tiers. D\u2019abord celui de documentaliste, de mus\u00e9ographe dans le projet de r\u00e9novation du nouveau Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Homme, enfin comme initiateur de projets artistiques avec notamment en 2013-2014, <em>Art in situ<\/em>, projet artistique \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re consistant en des interventions d\u2019artistes plasticiens sur les murs du mus\u00e9e en chantier. J\u2019\u00e9tais en quelque sorte ma\u00eetre d\u2019\u0153uvre et commissaire intervenant&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2024. LA MISSION AU PEROU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024 a \u00e9t\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e centrifuge pour ce plasticien dont les racines paternelles le ram\u00e8nent sans cesse vers le P\u00e9rou. Une exposition de dessins, une participation \u00e0 une publication en qualit\u00e9 d\u2019illustrateur, la sortie de <em>Terre de France<\/em>, un livre de cr\u00e9ation et, en parall\u00e8le, un ensemble d\u2019images sur un environnement autre, autant d\u2019avanc\u00e9es multip\u00f4les qui, toutes, montrent un m\u00eame sens de la couleur, des juxtapositions formelles. Enfin, la derni\u00e8re main \u00e0 <em>Nombril du monde<\/em> (ill. 3, 4 et 5), un livre d\u2019artiste o\u00f9 les \u0153uvres qui se succ\u00e8dent sur diff\u00e9rents types de papiers, la finesse des papiers asiatiques et l\u2019aspect fort des papiers artisanaux occidentaux donnent \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de peintures \u00e0 l\u2019acrylique, de dessins mixtes qui se succ\u00e8dent, un rythme \u00e9pique de p\u00e9n\u00e9tration dans l\u2019histoire autour d\u2019un motif flaque \/ fleur \/ <em>centre<\/em> du monde\u00a0!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure Ex. unique. 33 x 26 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Des \u00e9poques sans forc\u00e9ment de liens commutatifs ou compl\u00e9mentaires se succ\u00e8dent au fil de ces d\u00e9cennies de travail. Quatre \u0153uvres se sont impos\u00e9es lors de la mission au P\u00e9rou\u00a0: des pi\u00e8ces peintes \u00e0 l\u2019acrylique sur papier. Deux appartiennent \u00e0 la s\u00e9rie <em>D\u2019Est en Ouest<\/em>  (ill. 6 et 7) et deux autres proviennent de <em>Carte de France<\/em> (ill. 8 et 9). Cette segmentation d\u2019ensemble ne nuit aucunement aux repr\u00e9sentations. Pour <em>Carte de France<\/em>, certes une vision centrale du monde o\u00f9 la France assume le r\u00f4le de noyau structurant choque par la multitude des mati\u00e8res qui entourent le pays devenu seul autour de fibres sur une \u0153uvre et de fourmillement de conglom\u00e9rats lithiques sur l\u2019autre. Pass\u00e9 ce premier et l\u00e9gitime \u00e9tonnement, le voyage au pays des mati\u00e8res continue. La deuxi\u00e8me pi\u00e8ce montre combien les notions de vide et de plein sont facilement remises en question.
