Cette gravure appartenait probablement \u00e0 un recueil reli\u00e9 en reliure \u00e0 ficelle. Le volume qui devait constituer une anthologie de po\u00e9sies, notamment tang a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00f4t\u00e9 de son recueil d\u2019origine, mis \u00e0 plat et reconditionn\u00e9 en une suite de planches encadr\u00e9es pour leur effet d\u00e9coratif, et, esp\u00e9rons-le, pour l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat des po\u00e9sies, comme cela s\u2019est beaucoup fait, et se fait encore en Occident pour la mise en valeur de pi\u00e8ces chinoises&nbsp;! Une permanence de la dualit\u00e9 entre les caract\u00e8res et les traductions corpus des livres anciens et modernes<\/em> contient des \u00e9l\u00e9ments relatifs \u00e0 Zheng Gu<em>. <\/em>Pour m\u00e9moire, cette importante encyclop\u00e9die \u2013 en chinois, <em>Gujin tushu jicheng<\/em>&nbsp;(\u53e4\u4eca\u5716\u66f8\u96c6\u6210), ou&nbsp;<em>Qinding Gujin tushu jicheng<\/em>, (la&nbsp;<em>Grande Encyclop\u00e9die imp\u00e9riale illustr\u00e9e des temps pass\u00e9 et pr\u00e9sent<strong>)<\/strong><\/em>,<a> <\/a>reprend de fa\u00e7on assez dense et chronologique, des sources parmi les livres anciens et modernes. La p\u00e9riode couverte va de la&nbsp;dynastie Zhou&nbsp;jusqu&rsquo;au&nbsp;xvii<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle. La premi\u00e8re version est publi\u00e9e en&nbsp;1726-1728. Il existe des versions en ligne de cet \u00e9norme travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;ampleur du travail entrepris est colossale, l\u2019encyclop\u00e9die comprend 10&nbsp;040 chapitres et 5&nbsp;020 fascicules, elle compte quelque cent millions de&nbsp;caract\u00e8res&nbsp;sur 852&nbsp;408 pages. L&rsquo;encyclop\u00e9die est l&rsquo;\u0153uvre de&nbsp;Chen Menglei&nbsp;(Fuzhou, ca 1650&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;1741), qui en commence la r\u00e9daction en 1706.
