Le compositeur Roberto Ojeda Campana, le guitariste Osm\u00e1n del Barco, la musique cuzqu\u00e9nienne g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice de [Panoramas] (12)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>par Alain Cardenas-Castro<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir retrouv\u00e9 dans le fonds d&rsquo;archives de l\u2019atelier de la rue Vineuse une cassette audio d\u2019un enregistrement effectu\u00e9 en 1981 au P\u00e9rou, je me suis rappel\u00e9 mon p\u00e8re, le peintre Juan Manuel Cardenas-Castro (1891-1988), me parlant de ses aptitudes \u00e0 jouer de la guitare dans sa jeunesse. Il entonnait des vocalises tout en m\u2019expliquant la rythmique de l\u2019instrument et en \u00e9voquant ses souvenirs li\u00e9s \u00e0 cette musique andine particuli\u00e8re, le Huayno<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de ce document sonore, il m\u2019a paru important de regrouper les diverses pi\u00e8ces couvrant le domaine musical dans le fonds d&rsquo;archives de l&rsquo;atelier de\u00a0Juan Manuel Cardenas-Castro : partitions musicales, courriers, photographies, etc. La plupart de ces pi\u00e8ces proviennent de l\u2019\u00e9change \u00e9pistolaire avec son ami de jeunesse \u00e0 Cuzco, le musicien Roberto Ojeda Campana (1895-1983). Pour faire suite \u00e0 cet inventaire non exhaustif, j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 opportun de pr\u00e9senter ce corpus documentaire qui entre dans le cadre de ma recherche sur la lign\u00e9e des Cardenas-Castro peintres et mus\u00e9ographes.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un premier temps, en suivant la logique du plus grand nombre,\u00a0j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de pr\u00e9senter les documents relatifs au musicien Roberto Ojeda. Dans un deuxi\u00e8me temps, j\u2019\u00e9voque la rencontre de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Cardenas-Castro (1899-1975) avec le guitariste Osm\u00e1n del Barco (1902-1966), \u00e0 partir d\u2019extraits tir\u00e9s du livre d\u2019Ernesto More, <em>Huellas humanas<\/em>. Et, dans un troisi\u00e8me temps, je retrace le projet photographique que j&rsquo;ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 lors de mon voyage au P\u00e9rou en 1988. Visuel, Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Cardenas-Castro<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Roberto Ojeda, l\u2019un des <em>Cuatro Grandes<\/em> du Cuzco<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lors de son voyage au P\u00e9rou en 1981\u00a0; de cet unique retour dans son pays d\u2019origine depuis son installation \u00e0 Paris en 1920, Juan Manuel Cardenas-Castro a pu revoir quelques-uns de ses amis de jeunesse comme le musicien Roberto Ojeda. N\u00e9 \u00e0 Cusco le 1<sup>er<\/sup> juillet 1895, Roberto Ojeda a \u00e9t\u00e9 initi\u00e9 \u00e0 la musique par son p\u00e8re, Mariano Ojeda, compositeur de musique sacr\u00e9e et organiste de la cath\u00e9drale de Cuzco. Il a ensuite poursuivi ses \u00e9tudes au S\u00e9minaire de San Antonio Abad et \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 des Lettres et de Droit de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 San Antonio Abad de Cusco. C\u2019est \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 28 ans, en 1923, qu\u2019Ojeda conduira la direction musicale de la Misi\u00f3n Peruana de Arte Inkaiko<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> (Mission p\u00e9ruvienne de l&rsquo;art inca) \u00e0 travers diff\u00e9rents pays d\u2019Am\u00e9rique latine. Durant sa carri\u00e8re, ce remarquable musicien r\u00e9alisera plus de trois cent pi\u00e8ces musicales de style andin. Consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&rsquo;un des plus importants compositeurs de la musique cusqu\u00e9nienne, Roberto Ojeda fait partie des \u00a0<em>Cuatro Grandes<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a>. Il lui importera tout de m\u00eame de consacrer r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement un temps d\u2019enseignement pour dispenser son exp\u00e9rience et son savoir dans plusieurs \u00e9coles de Cuzco ou comme professeur de guitare \u00e0 l\u2019Ecole r\u00e9gionale de musique au cours des ann\u00e9es 1950. Il sera \u00e9galement violoniste de l\u2019Orchestre philarmonique de Cusco retrouvant la sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 instrumentale de ses premiers apprentissages. Mon p\u00e8re m\u2019\u00e9voquait \u00e9galement son ami d\u2019enfance comme l\u2019auteur de l\u2019Hymne du Cusco<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>. C\u2019est certainement \u00e0 cette occasion que son ami musicien lui a offert la photo d\u00e9dicac\u00e9e qui le pr\u00e9sente dirigeant un orchestre (ill. 2 et 3). Par contre, je ne ne me souviens pas que mon p\u00e8re ait mentionn\u00e9 la participation d\u2019Ojeda \u00e0 la prestation musicale donn\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de son anniversaire et enregistr\u00e9 sur la cassette retrouv\u00e9e. En effet, lors de sa visite en mai 1981 sa famille lui a organis\u00e9 une f\u00eate pour son anniversaire, accompagn\u00e9 de musique, pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer \u00e9galement son retour au P\u00e9rou apr\u00e8s tant d\u2019ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es loin de son pays natal. Ce concert improvis\u00e9 et enregistr\u00e9 en souvenir de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 aux sonorit\u00e9s de la guitare et accompagn\u00e9 de chants sur une m\u00e9lodie de Huayno. Quelques temps apr\u00e8s son retour en France, mon p\u00e8re a re\u00e7u deux pi\u00e8ces musicales de son ami Roberto Ojeda. Elles sont d\u00e9dicac\u00e9es et annot\u00e9es sur la face et sur l&rsquo;envers d&rsquo;une partition. L&rsquo;une des pi\u00e8ces\u00a0 d\u00e9dicac\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0A mi herman Juan Manuel C\u00e1rdenas Castro\u00a0\u00bb est un Huayno intitul\u00e9 <em>Linda cusque\u00f1ita-Wayno<\/em>. La pi\u00e8ce est \u00e0 jouer sur un tempo allegreto. Les annotations pr\u00e9cisent l\u2019instrumentation avec <em>\u00ab\u00a0guitares, charangos, arpas y quenas\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em>\u00a0Les annotations se continuent\u00a0 po\u00e9tiquement,<em>\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Sueltan melodias esta noche para linda cusque\u00f1ita. Mi cusquenita de ojos negros de labios de amor, que ilas el alma con iluciones al almanecer. Au dos de cette photo non dat\u00e9e, un tampon indique un clich\u00e9 du photographe Martin Chambi. Nous n&rsquo;avons pas trouv\u00e9 d&rsquo;autre mani\u00e8re que de l\u2019inviter \u00e0 un go\u00fbter, de peur toutefois que cela ne lui monte \u00e0 la t\u00eate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ce passage tir\u00e9 du livre <em>Huellas humanas<\/em> a lieu au cours d\u2019un ap\u00e9ritif que prennent l\u2019auteur de l\u2019ouvrage, Ernesto More, en compagnie d\u2019Osm\u00e1n del Barco<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a> et de mon oncle, Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Cardenas-Castro. Au cours de cette entrevue amicale, ces exil\u00e9s p\u00e9ruviens se rem\u00e9morent leurs ann\u00e9es parisiennes en compagnie de leur ami commun le po\u00e8te C\u00e9sar Vallejo. C\u2019est en 1923, deux ans apr\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris que mon oncle a connu le po\u00e8te. On peut imaginer qu\u2019Osm\u00e1n Del Barco pouvait interpr\u00e9ter en tant que guitariste des airs de Huayno. Une mani\u00e8re pour ces compatriotes d\u2019\u00e9voquer leurs racines andines et leur terre natale, le Huayno est une musique relativement rythm\u00e9e mais dont les intonations sont propices \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer le sentiment de nostalgie.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, le guitariste Osm\u00e1n del Barco est l\u2019h\u00e9ritier d\u2019une tradition musicale europ\u00e9enne. En effet, les interpr\u00e9tations \u00e0 la guitare \u2014 instrument d\u2019origine espagnole \u2014 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transpos\u00e9es par les populations du Nouveau Monde en prenant des formes locales. Et de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re qu\u2019en Europe, les musiciens ont utilis\u00e9 la guitare en accompagnement du chant. Ainsi, les s\u00e9r\u00e9nades et les po\u00e9sies espagnoles et quechuas ont \u00e9t\u00e9 jou\u00e9es depuis le XVII<sup>e<\/sup> s. au P\u00e9rou et leurs compositions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 majoritairement con\u00e7ues sur un mode musical europ\u00e9en.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>De la musique cusqu\u00e9nienne entre profane et religieux<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le voyage que j\u2019ai effectu\u00e9 en 1988 au P\u00e9rou m\u2019a permis d\u2019\u00e9tudier la culture et les traditions du monde andin. La visite des lieux de cr\u00e9ation comme l\u2019atelier du peintre muraliste Juan Bravo Vizcarra m\u2019a permis d\u2019\u00e9toffer mes connaissances de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art mural du Sud-andin. Ce voyage d\u2019\u00e9tude m\u2019a \u00e9galement permis de suivre la f\u00eate d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la Virgen del Carmen parmi d\u2019autres \u00e9v\u00e9nements festifs de type religieux. Cette vierge qui est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e annuellement est accompagn\u00e9e par des ensembles musicaux comme la plupart des festivit\u00e9s au P\u00e9rou. Ce sont des occasions pour les fanfares municipales de se produire en suivant les cort\u00e8ges et processions religieuses. Ainsi, j\u2019ai pu suivre cette c\u00e9l\u00e9bration \u00e0 P\u00edsac, un village qui est situ\u00e9 dans la Vall\u00e9e sacr\u00e9e des Incas. Cela m\u2019a permis tout au long d\u2019une journ\u00e9e d\u2019accompagner les cort\u00e8ges et les fanfares sur leurs parcours urbains ponctu\u00e9s de haltes r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrices. Ce reportage photographique effectu\u00e9 \u00e0 la mi-juillet\u00a0a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un modeste appareil reflex automatique 24 x 36 de marque Canon. A partir de plusieurs clich\u00e9s pris d\u2019un m\u00eame point de vue j\u2019ai pu composer des sc\u00e8nes panoramiques en assemblant plusieurs tirages de formats 10 x 15 cm (ill. 7 et 8).
