C\u2019est sur le site de cet \u00e9diteur, amateur de DIY, comme nous le sommes \u00e9galement lorsque nous collaborons avec des cr\u00e9ateurs tel Olivier Allemane, que nous avons d\u00e9couvert le travail de <a href=\"https:\/\/davidonrianderson.com\/home.html\">David Onri Anderson<\/a>. Son p\u00e8re, Henri, \u00e9tait un r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 d\u2019Alg\u00e9rie, o\u00f9 tout le reste de la famille de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 vivait ou bien s\u2019\u00e9tait transf\u00e9r\u00e9e. Le p\u00e8re d\u2019Henri \u00e9tait un rabbin du nom de Mo\u00efse qui avait v\u00e9cu, travaill\u00e9 et \u00e9tait mort en Alg\u00e9rie. Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 enterr\u00e9 avec les honneurs \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem. Durant les ann\u00e9es 80, ma m\u00e8re s\u2019est install\u00e9e en Am\u00e9rique et est all\u00e9e dans une \u00e9cole d\u2019art en Floride. Elle y a rencontr\u00e9 Jo\u00ebl, mon p\u00e8re. Mon p\u00e8re est un Am\u00e9ricain qui a v\u00e9cu dans toute l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord aussi bien que dans d\u2019autres parties de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique centrale ou du Sud car il passait d\u2019une base militaire \u00e0 une autre pour servir les forces a\u00e9riennes am\u00e9ricaines. C\u2019est l\u00e0 plus ou moins l\u2019histoire de ma famille<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes qui n\u2019excluent aucune approche de l\u2019imaginaire, David Anderson obtient son dipl\u00f4me en 2016 au Watkins college of art, design &amp; film, et, d\u2019embl\u00e9e rend visible la pluralit\u00e9 de ses aspirations tr\u00e8s ouvertes, texte, image, son, installations, \u0153uvres auxquelles il faut ajouter son approche de musicien. Les peintures que je r\u00e9alise permettent qu\u2019une connexion soit \u00e9tablie avec les yeux, l\u2019esprit et le c\u0153ur, un endroit familier qui transforme l\u2019ego\u00a0\u00bb. Ajoutons que ce plasticien et musicien avide de musiques improvis\u00e9es jou\u00e9es au sein d\u2019un groupe, recherche \u00e0 travers les diff\u00e9rents aspects du son ce qui peut influencer son \u00e9tat d\u2019esprit et son corps. Dans un texte r\u00e9cent, David Anderson rappelle sa fa\u00e7on d\u2019aborder les mat\u00e9riaux qui vont former une symbiose n\u00e9cessaire avec le support, sa toile (ill. 4 et 5).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJ\u2019ai peint \u00e0 l\u2019huile pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es, puis, graduellement, je me suis davantage int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 avoir une pratique plus propre et moins chimique. J\u2019incorpore souvent dans des approches exp\u00e9rimentales d\u2019autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments plus traditionnels, ainsi, j\u2019utilise par exemple sur des surfaces ou des formes \u00e9tranges o\u00f9 je peins, des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de rebut, des collages, des colorants d\u2019herbes ou de fleurs. Ma pratique courante de la peinture repose sur une approche qui utilise l\u2019acrylique, le crayon et la toile brute. Je dessine d\u2019abord sur cette toile, puis passe un enduit \u00e0 base de pl\u00e2tre entre chaque trait de crayon, laissant ainsi apparente la toile brute sur laquelle je passe un m\u00e9lange d\u2019herbes, de fleurs ou de cendres pour obtenir un effet d\u00e9cal\u00e9 ou att\u00e9nu\u00e9. J\u2019ai empli la galerie de terre et d\u2019herbe v\u00e9ritable, vivante, fait des monticules, peint les murs et mis en place mes peintures ainsi que de petites sculptures. Dans mon imaginaire, j\u2019aime explorer les possibilit\u00e9s des choses que nous pensons conna\u00eetre, comme des fruits, des fleurs, des animaux, des gens. Je combine parfois des id\u00e9es comme une fraise et un cheval, ce qui donne une peinture comme celle appel\u00e9e <em>Jument fraise <\/em>(ill. 8).
