Une Chine qui, en raison de sa sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9, reste encore admir\u00e9e et honnie.<\/p>\n<p>Marie Laureillard, ma\u00eetre de conf\u00e9rences en \u00e9tudes chinoises \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 Lumi\u00e8re Lyon 2 et membre de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Asie orientale, est aussi l\u2019autrice de textes relatifs \u00e0 cette p\u00e9riode, d\u2019<i>Illustrer Shanghai en 1930\u00a0: les revues Shanghai Sketch et Modern Sketch\u00a0<\/i>(\u00e0 para\u00eetre). Elle a traduit du chinois romans, nouvelles et po\u00e9sies, dont\u00a0<i>R\u00e9cit de lune<\/i>\u00a0de Guo Songfen (Zulma, 2007),\u00a0<i>Le go\u00fbt de la pluie<\/i>\u00a0de Shi Zhecun (Gallimard, 2011) et\u00a0<i>Le veilleur de nuit<\/i>\u00a0de Yu Kwang-chung (Circ\u00e9, 2020). Chercheuse opini\u00e2tre, elle ne cesse au fil de ses recherches entre texte et image de montrer et de pr\u00e9ciser des correspondances entre ces disciplines bien souvent trop s\u00e9par\u00e9es. Ses recherches sur Feng Zikai (1898, Tongxiang \u2013 1975, Shanghai) montrent avec brio une esth\u00e9tique caract\u00e9ristique de ce courant qui trouve des correspondances fortes en Occident.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Ye Lingfeng et Shanghai des ann\u00e9es 30<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Une toute r\u00e9cente traduction de ce \u00a0roman de Ye Lingfeng tombe \u00e0 pic. Illustration of literary tea talk \u6587\u58c7\u8336\u8a71\u5716 (Liuyi; Fed. 15, 1936).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Quant \u00e0 l\u2019auteur, Ye Lingfeng\u00a0(1905-1975), n\u00e9 \u00e0 Nankin, cet \u00e9crivain repr\u00e9sentant de la litt\u00e9rature moderniste est une figure litt\u00e9raire importante des ann\u00e9es 1920-1930. D\u2019abord peintre, surnomm\u00e9 le \u00ab Beardsley chinois \u00bb, il adh\u00e8re \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 litt\u00e9raire Cr\u00e9ation aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Yu Dafu, son mentor. Il \u00e9dite plusieurs revues litt\u00e9raires et publie de nombreux romans dont, \u00a0en\u00a0 1936, <i>Confessions inachev\u00e9es<\/i> [\u300a\u672a\u5b8c\u6210\u7684\u5fcf\u6094\u5f55\u300b<i>Wei wancheng de chanhuilu<\/i>\u00a0]. Deux ans plus tard, il se fixe d\u00e9finitivement \u00e0 Hong Kong o\u00f9 il poursuit ses activit\u00e9s \u00e9ditoriales.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>De soixante-cinq confessions, entre style direct et journal intime<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le roman renvoie aux ann\u00e9es 1920-1930 \u00e0 Shanghai, \u00e0 l\u2019apog\u00e9e de la vague de n\u00e9o-sensationnisme inspir\u00e9 du Japon et de modernisme cosmopolite. Ecrit durant l\u2019hiver 1934, le roman est publi\u00e9 en feuilleton dans le suppl\u00e9ment\u00a0<i>Qingguang<\/i>\u00a0(\u300a\u9752\u5149\u300b) du journal The China Times (\u300a\u65f6\u4e8b\u65b0\u62a5\u300b), puis \u00e9dit\u00e9 en 1936. Ce roman de Ye Lingfeng, auteur peu connu en Chine aujourd\u2019hui, a fait l\u2019objet d\u2019une r\u00e9\u00e9dition en 2008. Le volume regroupe une s\u00e9lection de neuf autres nouvelles et romans ainsi que vingt essais.<\/p>\n<p>Le lecteur entre dans\u00a0 l\u2019histoire d\u2019un amour malheureux, ou plut\u00f4t inabouti, cont\u00e9 par un narrateur \u2013 monsieur Ye (\u53f6\u5148\u751f) &#8211; \u00e0 partir du journal intime tenu par le principal protagoniste, Han Feijun (\u97e9\u6590\u541b).<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est \u00e0 la sortie d\u2019une librairie que le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9crivain Ye rencontre une de ses anciennes connaissances, Han Feijun. Ce jeune homme, jadis riche et dandy, ne ressemble plus \u00e0 celui qu\u2019il avait connu. L\u2019\u00e9change se transforme vite en confession, d\u2019abord par la proposition que Han lui fait de lire les carnets intimes qu\u2019il a \u00e9crits pendant une p\u00e9riode de d\u00e9pression, puis en conversations \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital o\u00f9 il est soign\u00e9. L\u00e0, M. Ye fait la connaissance de sa petite fille, puis, ensuite, de celle qui a boulevers\u00e9 la vie du jeune homme, Chen Yanzhu. Son histoire ressemble \u00e0 s\u2019y m\u00e9prendre \u00e0 celle de\u00a0<i>La Dame aux cam\u00e9lias<\/i>. Si on ne peut dire que la jeune femme est une courtisane, sa notori\u00e9t\u00e9 en tant que vedette de la chanson et de la danse en fait l\u2019\u00e9g\u00e9rie d\u2019un monde que rejette le p\u00e8re du jeune homme dont le train de vie d\u00e9pend.
