Ces formats\u00a0 rappellent la place de la fresque dans l\u2019\u0153uvre du cr\u00e9ateur en constant renouvellement, ils sous-tendent d\u2019une part une importante place pour les travaux pr\u00e9paratoires qui oscillent entre unique et multiple, et, de l\u2019autre, une parfaite connaissance des techniques et cuisines donnant toute leur richesse aux \u0153uvres produites ainsi couleurs, le rouge et le noir, n\u2019ont pas seulement obs\u00e9d\u00e9 les \u00e9crivains [Stendhal, Henri Beyle, (1783, Grenoble \u2013 1842, Paris]] et les chanteurs\u00a0 [Mick Jagger (1943, Dartford )], elles sont encore des points d\u2019ancrage forts dans l\u2019imaginaire de plasticiens de tous horizons, notamment des artistes tao\u00efsants chinois aux postlettristes et n\u00e9ofiguristes occidentaux,\u00a0 autonomes et\u00a0 excentriques, dont Alain Cardenas-Castro (1961, Paris) est l\u2019un des repr\u00e9sentants les plus prolixes qui joint des notations visuelles, abstraites \u00e0 des d\u00e9tails parfois d\u00e9cal\u00e9s. Dans le sillage onirique de plasticiens tels Valerio Adami\u00a0 (1935, Bologne) ou de Julio Urruela Vasquez (1910-1990, Guatemala), ses racines piochent aux vestiges de l\u2019arch\u00e9ologie comme aux symboles m\u00e9di\u00e9vaux ou contemporains filtr\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019aune de son imaginaire. Cette nouvelle \u00e9vocation d\u2019une \u0153uvre qui renvoie au rapport texte-image, si bien n\u00e9cessaire et mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9 dans le <i>Transsib\u00e9rien<\/i> ou dans le po\u00e8me de Seuphor pour une \u0153uvre de Mondrian montre comment ce chromiste agit par \u00e9l\u00e9ments simples ou complexes au sein d\u2019une grammaire des formes \u00e9volutives mais r\u00e9gies par une m\u00eame signification qui donne sa coh\u00e9rence \u00e0 cet environnement.<\/p>\n<p>Impliqu\u00e9 pour un univers qui accepte et assimile les \u00e9v\u00e9nements les plus sensibles bornant une vie, ceux-ci transparaissent sur certains documents pr\u00e9paratoires comme ces matrices en lino (ill 1, 2, 4), pr\u00e9misses de sections de certaines \u0153uvres ou bien sujet \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re. Quelques pi\u00e8ces montrent ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments de rep\u00e9rage chronologique, en l\u2019occurrence apr\u00e8s la publication d\u2019un accord\u00e9on sur les arch\u00e9ologies des sens (ill.2).\u00a0 \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019acrylique, appliqu\u00e9 en couche \u00e9paisse, est \u00e9pong\u00e9 et repris pour donner naissance \u00e0 des mati\u00e8res brutes qui re\u00e7oivent des formes ces cercles us\u00e9s ou des fossiles en suspension\u00a0: champignons-cr\u00e2nes, mandorle, \u00e9l\u00e9ments de squelette,\u2026 La dimension narrative des objets r\u00e9els ou fictifs tous mis \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle voisine aussi rappelle ces grimoires prot\u00e9geant, enfermant des livres initiatiques (ill. 5)\u00a0\u00bb (Christophe Comentale).<\/p>\n<p>Le lino reste un mat\u00e9riau de pr\u00e9dilection, mall\u00e9able, et tout \u00e0 fait adapt\u00e9 au rendu d\u2019\u0153uvres s\u00e9quentielles, pr\u00e9paratoires ou devenant une sculpture totale au moment voulu. Alain Cardenas-Castro utilise ce mat\u00e9riau pour des \u0153uvres tr\u00e8s diverses devenant parfois aussi un livre, souvent un manuscrit en accord\u00e9on, pour des collaborations texte-image que ce cr\u00e9ateur int\u00e8gre dans ses peintures portables, entre jeu et calligraphie imp\u00e9rative ou it\u00e9rative de mots\u00a0 circonscrits et envisageables\u00a0 en tous sens.<\/p>\n<div De l\u2019\u00e9tude pr\u00e9paratoire \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre achev\u00e9e, l\u2019accident et une permanence des motifs restent en pr\u00e9cieux \u00e9quilibre. Quand l\u2019oeuvre est jug\u00e9e <i>\u00e0 point<\/i>, elle vit sa vie, est livr\u00e9e au regard. Une \u00e9tude pour <i>De l\u2019art de la guerre<\/i> (ill.5) illustre cette n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de la construction pr\u00e9ventive, strat\u00e9gique, pour mieux asseoir l\u2019\u0153uvre qui est cens\u00e9e \u00eatre p\u00e9renne.<\/p>\n<p>Les Nouvelles Routes de la Soie, sont une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 chinoise, mais aussi un mythe tant bien que mal sublim\u00e9 en Occident, un Occident non sinophone, &#8211; ce qui est plut\u00f4t normal. Les Routes de la Soie ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la naissance de distances et de lieux imaginaires situ\u00e9s entre l\u2019horrible et le merveilleux que l\u2019on retrouve sous la plume des voyageurs les plus diff\u00e9rents. En d\u2019autres termes, les trac\u00e9s, les trajets qui correspondent aux routes traditionnellement emprunt\u00e9es, sont devenus en ce\u00a0 21<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, une \u00e9norme entreprise \u00e0 base strat\u00e9gique qui inclut \u00e9conomie, pouvoir politique, et, peut-\u00eatre des rudiments culturels. Dans ce contexte qui montre un emploi r\u00e9ussi du kal\u00e9idoscope g\u00e9opolitique, <i>l\u2019Art de la guerre<\/i> de Sun Zi (aussi orthographi\u00e9 Sunzi ou encore Sun T\u2019ze\u2026) a fait une r\u00e9apparition amusante, inattendue aussi, autre \u00e9l\u00e9ment de rassemblement\u00a0 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie commune. L\u2019Occident a d\u00e9couvert Sun Zi (ou Sun Wu) (554 \u2013 496) par la traduction du p\u00e8re Amiot, mais jamais n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 mentionn\u00e9, ou bien peu, <i>le Trait\u00e9 de la guerre<\/i> d\u00fb \u00e0 Sun Bin (mort en 316 av. n. \u00e8re), descendant de Sun Zi, sujet du Royaume de Qi qui vit sous les Royaumes combattants, et ignor\u00e9 puisque lui, n\u2019a pas eu la chance d\u2019une traduction fran\u00e7aise au 18<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>Cet \u00e9tat des lieux a suscit\u00e9 \u00e9galement l\u2019interrogation des plasticiens, des auteurs, des chercheurs qui, comme le montre cette \u0153uvre r\u00e9cente (ill. I), ont su allier image et texte, constituer une sorte de banni\u00e8re cousue de fil rouge pour que ces deux parties distinctes ne fassent plus qu\u2019une. Une sorte de retour rituel \u2013 inconscient\u00a0? &#8211;\u00a0 \u00e0 l\u2019impressionnante banni\u00e8re (ill. II) d\u00e9couverte \u00e0 Mawangdui dans la province du Hunan lors des fouilles arch\u00e9ologiques effectu\u00e9es en 1972. Toutes deux renvoient \u00e0 une vision positive de la vie ici et ailleurs.<\/p>\n<p>Les auteurs ayant, au fil de publications diverses, longuement insist\u00e9 sur les jeux et correspondances entre Est et Ouest qu\u2019ils souhaitent mettre en valeur, il ne semblait pas excessif de mettre en confrontation un objet de fouilles et une \u0153uvre toute r\u00e9cente hors normes consacr\u00e9es\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Note sur le p\u00e8re Amiot, traducteur de <i>l\u2019Art de la guerre<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Comme cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 dit plus haut, l\u2019Occident lettr\u00e9 d\u00e9couvre, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une traduction tr\u00e8s large, due au p\u00e8re j\u00e9suite fran\u00e7ais, Joseph-Marie Amiot (1718, Toulon \u2013 1793, P\u00e9kin) <i>L\u2019art de la guerre<\/i>. Le p\u00e8re Amiot, homme de religion, s\u2019av\u00e8re autant \u00eatre un savant qui ma\u00eetrise le chinois et le mandchou, qu\u2019un diplomate habile dans la gestion des relations humaines, \u00e0 la cour de l\u2019empereur de Chine comme lorsqu\u2019il envoie ses rapports \u00e0 Rome. Il quitte, en\u00a0d\u00e9cembre 1749, le port de\u00a0Lorient, ville du Morbihan, pour arriver \u00e0\u00a0Macao\u00a0le\u00a027 juillet 1750. De l\u00e0, il reprend, l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, le p\u00e9riple qui le m\u00e8ne \u00e0\u00a0P\u00e9kin\u00a0o\u00f9 il arrive le\u00a022 ao\u00fbt 1751. Il y restera jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa mort, survenue en 1793. Le voyage en Chine s\u2019effectue sur les navires de la Marine royale, en compagnie des marchands pour d\u2019une part convertir l\u2019Asie et de l\u2019autre, favoriser de nouveaux d\u00e9bouch\u00e9s commerciaux dans cette zone du monde.<\/p>\n<p>Les j\u00e9suites, studieux et opini\u00e2tres, se\u00a0 mettent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude de la langue chinoise, ils forment de facto, le premier courant de la sinologie occidentale.
