Regard sur quatre \u0153uvres rares de Jacqueline Ricard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>par Christophe Comentale<\/p>\n<p>Peintre, \u00e9ditrice-fondatrice des Editions <i>la Cour pav\u00e9e<\/i>, amatrice et cr\u00e9atrice de gaufrages uniques, dans la lign\u00e9e d\u2019artistes tels Istv\u00e1n [Etienne] Hajd\u00fa (1907, Turda, Roumanie \u2013 1996, Bourg-la-Reine), Jacqueline Ricard, comme cet a\u00een\u00e9 sculpteur et inventeur de reliefs entre bois et m\u00e9taux, aime la proximit\u00e9 des arbres, celle des pierres et reliefs qui sacralisent les sites o\u00f9 elle encha\u00eene des missions d\u2019observation. Elle sait, par ailleurs, la place de l\u2019\u00e9crit, du signe, une approche favorable aux coop\u00e9rations avec des cr\u00e9ateurs, des gens de lettres. Ces analyses de sinuosit\u00e9s cach\u00e9es entre p\u00e9troglyphes et traces imm\u00e9moriales ont tr\u00e8s naturellement amen\u00e9 cette voyageuse \u00e0 encha\u00eener \u00e0 l\u2019international des expositions qui font admirer son travail depuis diff\u00e9rents points du monde de l\u2019art.<\/p>\n<p>Regard sur un \u0153uvre peint, grav\u00e9, de gaufrages n\u00e9s entre les m\u00e9ditations sinueuses du bouddhisme chan et un besoin de se mettre \u00e0 l\u2019unisson des \u00e9l\u00e9ments.<\/p>\n<p>Une cinquantaine de livres ont vu le jour, quatre \u0153uvres, s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es ci-apr\u00e8s, jalonnent ce parcours d\u2019une cr\u00e9atrice polymorphe.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>Une technique ouverte, la gravure au carborundum<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l\u2019Ecole nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris, Jacqueline Ricard s\u2019illustre par ses recherches en taille-douce, notamment avec l\u2019eau-forte, suivant les conseils et pr\u00e9ceptes d\u2019un de ses ma\u00eetres, Piza (1928, Sao Paulo), pour infliger ou prodiguer au m\u00e9tal des morsures extr\u00eames et fascinantes. La familiarit\u00e9 avec les \u0153uvres de Soulages (1919, Rodez), Clav\u00e9 (1913-2005)<sup>,<\/sup> oriente profond\u00e9ment la direction de son travail et de son imaginaire. C\u2019est avec Pierre Duclou, qu\u2019elle approfondit vers 1992 \u00e0 la technique du carborundum. Une technique qui permet des empreintes et des reliefs plus importants que la taille-douce mais avec des effets parfois semblables. Mise au point par Henri Goetz (1909, New York \u2013 1989, Nice) dans les ann\u00e9es 1950, cette technique au carborundum consiste \u00e0 d\u00e9poser sur une plaque de m\u00e9tal ou de plastique de la mati\u00e8re qui peut ensuite \u00eatre grav\u00e9e. Cette mati\u00e8re\u00a0: colle, vernis ou r\u00e9sine, est m\u00e9lang\u00e9e \u00e0 de la poudre de carborundum (carbure de silicium) qui durcit au s\u00e9chage et permet alors d\u2019\u00eatre travaill\u00e9e \u2013 grav\u00e9e &#8211; et encr\u00e9e puis imprim\u00e9e comme une gravure en taille-douce. Cette technique peut se combiner avec d\u2019autres techniques de gravure. L\u2019impression se fait sur une presse taille-douce. Les \u0153uvres naissent alors au fil du temps et rejoignent les collections d\u2019ici et d\u2019ailleurs.<\/p>\n<p><b>Transitions gravure &#8211; peinture\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>En parall\u00e8le \u00e0 son attachement \u00e0 la gravure, elle a peint, ach\u00e8ve une s\u00e9rie de drap\u00e9s travaill\u00e9s avec de la colle de peau afin d\u2019obtenir des mati\u00e8res qui ne sont pas sans rappeler les reliefs de ses \u0153uvres grav\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Ce besoin de technique souple, de <i>cuisine <\/i>qui surprend, tient au caract\u00e8re de Jacqueline Ricard qui, \u00e0 l\u2019oppos\u00e9 de certaines de ses coll\u00e8gues, va partir d\u2019une id\u00e9e directrice, d\u2019esquisses qui pourront \u00eatre abandonn\u00e9es car les choses se font une fois<i> la mati\u00e8re en mains<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><b>La force du soleil ou du bon usage de l\u2019h\u00e9liogravure<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Trois de ses livres sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en h\u00e9liogravure au grain. Comme elle aime \u00e0 le rappeler, \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019h\u00e9liogravure est un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 du XIXe si\u00e8cle permettant le transfert d\u2019une image photographique sur une plaque de cuivre par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire de g\u00e9latine photosensible. Il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le plus beau mode d\u2019impression d\u2019images photographiques ou autres. Etre conscient de ces contraintes devient une source forte de libert\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Ce qui appara\u00eet au fil de ses livres, notamment dans <i>\u00a0<\/i> <i>Lettre de Vladivostok<\/i> (2014), (ill.) ou pour la gravure en frontispice de <i>Lettre \u00e0 M <\/i>(2012). (ill.)<\/p>\n<p>Si, parfois, les montagnes et environnements naturels d\u00e9crits par Jacqueline Ricard semblent des abstractions \u2013 elle ne s\u2019en d\u00e9fend pas \u2013 il n\u2019en reste pas moins qu\u2019il s\u2019agit surtout d\u2019une communion avec la Nature. Des s\u00e9ries de trois ou quatre pi\u00e8ces viennent concr\u00e9tiser les id\u00e9es-force des projets.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est en 1997 qu\u2019est cr\u00e9\u00e9e la maison d\u2019\u00e9dition <i>La Cour Pav\u00e9e<\/i>. Ses livres et \u0153uvres s\u2019y retrouvent, elle aime susciter des collaborations avec d\u2019autres plasticiens et hommes de lettres, pour la cr\u00e9ation de <i>Kentauros<\/i> (ill.) D\u2019autres collaborations viennent \u00e0 elle\u00a0: Kenneth White avec lequel elle r\u00e9alise 5 livres, dont le plus r\u00e9cent, <i>Sur les hauteurs de l\u2019Alta\u00ef,<\/i> en 2019 (ill.). C\u2019est alors la mise en espace d\u2019un livre o\u00f9 les marges blanches du papier laissent son plein impact aux traces, reliefs de paysage de montagnes ainsi cr\u00e9\u00e9. Ces zones quasi diaphanes montrent une virtuosit\u00e9 r\u00e9elle et aussi un soin intense apport\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre \u00ab\u00a0avec la gravure \u2013 d\u00e9clare Jacqueline Ricard \u2013 les mains dans l\u2019encre, mais l\u2019oeuvre doit sortir impeccable\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><a
