Les oeuvres occupent quelque 800 m<sup>2<\/sup> r\u00e9partis sur les trois niveaux de cette \u00e9glise, un b\u00e2timent construit en 1863, qui a conserv\u00e9 diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments peints \u00e0 fresque. Le b\u00e2timent, a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9 et mis aux normes permettant la tenue d\u2019expositions r\u00e9pondant aux demandes internationales. Il a, par ailleurs, conserv\u00e9 quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments peints \u00e0 fresque au XIXe si\u00e8cle, cette heureuse co\u00efncidence montre l\u2019importance d\u2019une technique extr\u00eamement connue et populaire Est-Ouest.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Les \u0153uvres expos\u00e9es aux cimaises sont tr\u00e8s souvent de formats importants (quelques polyptyques) jamais expos\u00e9es en France ni m\u00eame en Europe. L\u2019inauguration de cette exposition hors les murs s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e le 1<sup>er<\/sup> septembre.<\/p>\n<p>Des institutionnels et des professionnels de la culture et du patrimoine \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>Mmes Marie-Christine Bousquet, maire de Lod\u00e8ve, pr\u00e9sidente de la Communaut\u00e9 de R\u00e9gion du Lodevois, LOU Jie, Directrice des mus\u00e9es de Dunhuang, Xu Juming, chercheuse \u00e0 l\u2019institut de Dunhuang, Ivonne Papin-Drastyk, directrice du mus\u00e9e de Lod\u00e8ve (repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e), Tina Huang Hsuan-tzu, doctorante, (codirection de th\u00e8se Mus\u00e9um-Dunhuang), commissaire ex\u00e9cutive de l\u2019exposition, MM HOU Liming, Directeur du d\u00e9partement de peinture au pigment \u00e0 Dunhuang et commissaire scientifique chinois de l\u2019exposition, Denis Duclos, directeur de la Direction des affaires europ\u00e9ennes et internationales au Mus\u00e9um, Jean-Marc Savier, directeur de la Savonnerie (Manufacture nationale des Gobelins), Christophe Comentale, commissaire scientifique fran\u00e7ais de l\u2019exposition, Jean-Christophe Mironneau, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et Didier Scuderoni, directeur de la programmation des expositions de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement et commissaire ex\u00e9cutif adjoint, HAN Weimeng, chercheur et artiste \u00e0 Dunhuang\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2580\u00a0 La journ\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9tude de ce 1<sup>er<\/sup> septembre relative \u00e9galement \u00e0 l\u2019importance de la peinture au pigment \u00e0 Dunhuang a r\u00e9uni cinq chercheurs, et en l\u2019occurrence, peintres-fresquistes de l\u2019institut de Dunhuang (Mmes LOU, XU, HUANG et MM HOU, HAN) et deux chercheurs du Mus\u00e9um (Cardenas-Castro [le texte de cette intervention sera publi\u00e9\u00a0 par ailleurs], Comentale), elle a permis de mettre en lumi\u00e8re deux th\u00e8mes forts\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Les enseignants fresquistes en poste \u00e0 l\u2019institut de Dunhuang sont, d\u2019une part, des sp\u00e9cialistes de l\u2019arch\u00e9ologie environnementale de cette r\u00e9gion, leur activit\u00e9 de copiste va de pair avec leur fonction p\u00e9dagogique et technique. Lorsqu\u2019ils acceptent de venir en poste \u00e0 cet institut de recherches, ils savent que la copie des originaux va \u00eatre le c\u0153ur de leur activit\u00e9. Ils ont d\u2019autre part une deuxi\u00e8me sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 en liaison avec la conservation, la protection et la mise en valeur de ce site, ce qui renvoie \u00e0 la formation initiale du fondateur de cet institut, le peintre CHANG Shuhong (1905-1994), qui a v\u00e9cu en France durant les ann\u00e9es 30.\u00a0 Ils sont, certes, entour\u00e9s de coll\u00e8gues de diff\u00e9rentes disciplines scientifiques et travaillent en concertation \u00e9troite avec les autorit\u00e9s gouvernementales \u00e0 la t\u00eate du Patrimoine de Chine.<\/p>\n<p>\u2580\u00a0 L\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de cette exposition r\u00e9side en la nouveaut\u00e9 du m\u00e9dium utilis\u00e9, le pigment, et aussi en la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des th\u00e8mes qui apparaissent au fil de la connaissance de cette peinture.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Les paysages de HOU Liming \u4faf\u9ece\u660e sont souvent de dimensions importantes (<i>La lune \u00e0 Mogao<\/i> (2015), 116 x 165 cm\u00a0; <i>Temp\u00eate de neige dans la ville de Suoyang<\/i> (2011), 344,8 x 159 cm, <i>Les grottes de Yulin, roche plaine<\/i> (2010), 159 x 123 cm,\u2026). Les saisons rythment ces \u0153uvres empreintes de grandeur, de magie, des sensations nourries par une observation minutieuse d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e, densifi\u00e9e au fil du temps, des ann\u00e9es de vie, de familiarit\u00e9 avec ces s\u00e9quences de l\u2019environnement quotidien. Elles sont r\u00e9solument contemporaines, le regard se pose sur des surfaces mobiles, changeantes qui renvoient aux grands ma\u00eetres de la peinture de paysage comme Fan Kuan<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Yue Yang \u5cb3\u9633 produit, quant \u00e0 lui des petits formats. R\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur un papier de lin, les effets de mati\u00e8res sont plus directs, de m\u00eame que sa palette appelle une polychromie parfois au seuil de l\u2019hyperr\u00e9alisme alors qu\u2019il s\u2019av\u00e8re en fait un architecte du r\u00e9el. N\u00e9 dans la province de Liaoning, il est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9, en 2006, de l\u2019atelier n\u00b01 du d\u00e9partement de peinture murale de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie Centrale des Beaux-Arts.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Xu Mingjun \u5f90\u94ed\u541b est n\u00e9e dans la province du Henan. De 2008 \u00e0 2011, elle enseigne la peinture de roches et pierres au sein du d\u00e9partement des arts d\u00e9coratifs de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts de Guangzhou. En poste \u00e0 Dunhuang depuis 2012, sa recherche est une observation et un travail de copie des fresques de Dunhuang. Malgr\u00e9 cela dans une \u0153uvre <i>comme Fin de l\u2019hibernation des insectes<\/i> (2008), 200 x 90 cm, elle se repr\u00e9sente, attentive, concentr\u00e9e face \u00e0 un changement de saison qui se manifeste par des bruits autres, un air devenu diff\u00e9rent alors qu\u2019elle est dans son atelier dont elle nous laisse p\u00e9n\u00e9trer l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re si particuli\u00e8re avec ses nombreuses couleurs contenues dans tant de pots divers. Elle redonne une vitalit\u00e9 et une \u00e9l\u00e9gance toutes particuli\u00e8res au th\u00e8me de l\u2019autoportrait que diff\u00e9rents artistes aiment utiliser, notamment Su Xinping, qui les d\u00e9multiplie \u00e0 l\u2019huile. On est aux antipodes de cette actualisation de l\u2019humain avec les \u0153uvres de Li Bingling.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Li Bingling \u674e\u51b0\u51cc n\u00e9e en 1982, \u00e0 Harbin, dans la province du Heilongjiang. De 2014 \u00e0 2015, elle est \u00e9tudiante \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 des Arts de Tokyo. Elle travaille depuis 2005 dans l\u2019Institut des Beaux-Arts de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie de recherche de Dunhuang o\u00f9 elle est biblioth\u00e9caire. Ses personnages sont autant des populations locales (<i>Lointain <\/i>(2007), 98 x 129 cm) que des r\u00e9miniscences des atmosph\u00e8res du r\u00e9pertoire du th\u00e9\u00e2tre traditionnel avec <i>Le pavillon des pivoines<\/i> (2011), 157 x 257 cm. Toutes ces \u0153uvres ont en commun une approche fugace de l\u2019instant, fig\u00e9 ou d\u00e9j\u00e0 perdu dans la finesse que le mat\u00e9riau exsude.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Wang Xueli \u738b\u5b66\u4e3d na\u00eet en 1979 dans le district de Dingbian, dans la province du Shanxi. Elle obtient en 2012, son dipl\u00f4me \u00e0 l\u2019atelier de recherches en art mural chinois au d\u00e9partement de peinture chinoise de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie de Beaux-Arts de Guangzhou. Elle est actuellement chercheuse-adjointe \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des Beaux-Arts de Dunhuang.<\/p>\n<p>Elle s\u2019attaque \u00e0 l\u2019objet, devenu centre de l\u2019\u0153uvre et de sa cr\u00e9ation. Sa s\u00e9rie de <i>Bols de verre<\/i> (2008), 110 x 150 cm, refl\u00e8te des pr\u00e9occupations tr\u00e8s contemporaines face \u00e0 l\u2019objet devenu le quotidien qui fait face \u00e0 tout un chacun, les divinit\u00e9s du panth\u00e9on bouddhique sont devenus une approche autre mais leur trace est sensible dans certains reflets chromatiques qui disent l\u2019emploi de l\u2019or, de l\u2019argent, tout \u00e0 fait essentiels \u00e0 des nuances s\u00e9duisantes et qui se combinent aux traces complexes des murs ou d\u2019espaces infinis.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Lou Jie \u5a04\u5a55 est n\u00e9e en 1961 \u00e0 P\u00e9kin. Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e en 1983 du d\u00e9partement de peinture \u00e0 l\u2019huile de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts de Xi\u2019an elle est de 1994 \u00e0 1996 chercheuse invit\u00e9e dans la section de peinture du d\u00e9partement des beaux-arts de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 des Arts de Tokyo. Elle est maintenant hercheuse \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des Beaux-Arts de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie de recherche de Dunhuang. Son approche r\u00e9solument abstraite montre l\u2019importance du signe, de la trace qui disent un p\u00e9riple, une pr\u00e9sence, comme dans V\u0153u (2008), 181 x 182 cm, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en technique mixte afin de conf\u00e9rer une ambigu\u00eft\u00e9, celle du temps qui passe, celle de la mati\u00e8re qui s\u2019efface\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Il convient encore de mentionner les \u0153uvres\u00a0 de Ma Qiang, \u9a6c\u5f3a, Zhao Junrong \u8d75\u4fca\u8363, Gao Peng \u9ad8\u9e4f, Guan Jinwen \u5173\u664b\u6587, Ji Lin \u674e\u6797, Shen Shuping \u6c88\u6dd1\u840d, Lei Lei \u96f7\u857e, Han Weimeng \u97e9\u536b\u76df, Fan Lijuan \u8303\u4e3d\u5a1f, Peng Wenjia\u5f6d\u6587\u4f73, des artistes qui appr\u00e9cient autant les paysages de calme intense de ces \u00e9tendues denses ou mettent en sc\u00e8ne des personnages souvent improbables. Les plus surprenants sont ceux de Hang Liufang\u9ec4\u7559\u82b3 dans <i>Naissance<\/i> (2016) o\u00f9 l\u2019artiste montre bien une certaine universalit\u00e9 de la spiritualit\u00e9 qui entoure ces images confi\u00e9es \u00e0 la fresque. Des images qui refl\u00e8tent la force de ces grottes o\u00f9 le bouddhisme s\u2019est enrichi de notions syncr\u00e9tiques permettant \u00e0 l\u2019homme du XXIe si\u00e8cle de nourrir autrement son imaginaire et de faire partager son approche tr\u00e8s personnelle \u00e0 un large public, f\u00fbt-il occidental.<\/p>\n<p>Catalogue<\/p>\n<p><b>La peinture au pigment contemporaine \u00e0
