En suivant le d\u00e9roulement horizontal de la composition vers la droite, on peut suivre l\u2019ondulation du reptile qui continue de se lover autour d\u2019un \u00e9corch\u00e9, ici, \u00e0 l\u2019image d\u2019un nu de Michel Ange. Sans oublier que cet organe d\u00e9concentr\u00e9 du Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 tient compte des populations rurales et de leur acc\u00e8s aux soins m\u00e9dicaux, la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une infirmi\u00e8re plac\u00e9e dans un environnement naturel vient le rappeler. Le mural n&rsquo;a pas subi de d\u00e9gradations et il est rest\u00e9 dans un tr\u00e8s bon \u00e9tat de conservation.<\/p>\n<p>Ce remarquable exemple de narration et d\u2019interdisciplinarit\u00e9 n\u2019est pas si courant parmi les diverses r\u00e9alisations murales existantes \u00e0 Cuzco. Jorge Luis Chirinos V\u00e1squez et ses collaborateurs ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 allier la tradition et la modernit\u00e9 en utilisant leurs pratiques artistiques de muralistes pour transmettre l\u2019Histoire du patrimoine culturel et scientifique de la ville de Cuzco. En convoquant l\u2019Histoire de l\u2019Art, de la Science et des Civilisations il partagent \u00e9galement au travers de leur culture ancestrale leur identit\u00e9 andine contemporaine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> Le 5 octobre 1885, Daniel Alcides Carri\u00f3n s\u2019inocule le germe de la \u00ab\u00a0verrue p\u00e9ruvienne\u00a0\u00bb (<em>Bartonella bacilliformis<\/em>) pour d\u00e9montrer qu&rsquo;une maladie end\u00e9mique typique de la r\u00e9gion andine \u2014 qui affectait \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque les ouvriers participant \u00e0 la construction de la ligne de chemin de fer entre Lima et La Oroya \u2014 \u00e9tait de nature infectieuse et transmissible. En s\u2019inoculant les s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions extraites des verrues d&rsquo;un patient afin de reproduire la verrue p\u00e9ruvienne il contracte, vingt et un jours apr\u00e8s, la fi\u00e8vre dite \u00ab\u00a0de La Oroya\u00a0\u00bb. Il v\u00e9rifie ainsi le lien de l&rsquo;origine commune des deux maladies. Il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le \u00ab\u00a0martyr de la m\u00e9decine p\u00e9ruvienne\u00a0\u00bb.
